Don't rip on me!

Ok I really don't like to got to LA sometimes because it's crowded. My dad wanted to go to get Christmas presents. Well anyway we went and we see that Aron's Records store is closing down. Well I knew there were a lot of signs telling us not to go like the freeway construction. So when we get there the store is pretty cleaned out. There were no good CDs, so I decided to go look for a good DVD. I was really hoping to find a Sailor Moon one at a good price. There were not a lot of anime ones left. I was on my knees looking though boxes. When I squatted to look in a box I tore my pants in the crotch!
So I had to decide if I wanted to keep looking for more DVDs or stop because I had torn pants. I didn't stop I kept looking. But I had to look carefully and make sure that nobody saw my pants. I tried to hide it with my shirt, but it was too short. It was a good thing I didn't stop I found a Heathcliff DVD. I had to get it I haven't seen that cartoon in years. Too bad I never did find a Sailor Moon one, but it was worth ripping my pants for one.
Something else funny happened later when I was talking to my dad. We were looking at Christmas CDs in the store and we were talking about this rap one and my dad was saying he had never heard of anybody on the CD. (Why would he? He doesn't listen to rap music?) Then this guy comes up to us and points at a song on the back and says "That song is genuis!". My dad gives me a look like this -_- It was so funny!
When we are in the car I tell him I can't go shopping to anymore stores because I ripped my pants. That was kind of a good thing because I didn't want to go to anymore stores

The Surgeon and the Rapper (partial week in review)

originally Posted on Apr 24, 2006 8:01 PM

Ok I know this ins't the whole week in review. I'm really busy I have to turn in my writing assigment of bad poetry this week and I'm still not done with it. The rest of the review will be up later in the week.
Monday: In my exercise class we were walking and I cheated. I was really lagging behind so I took a shortcut through the school. I made it look like I was still last even though I really walked less. Its ok to cheat when you don't get caught.
Tuesday: I was feeling sick in the morning and if it was any other day I would've just left. I'm consumed with apathy, but everybody else is too so you don't notice it. I'd love to see the "live report" from the journalism students LOL! I hate my writing class so much I think I hate this class the most maybe even more than math. It's just so slow, boring, stagnant, and monotonous. It's driving me nuts! Plus I don't feel inspired to write, well except for how much I hate it. Maybe I'll get lucky and the teachers thing won't work in my comm class and I'll get more time to get my presentation together. She wants us to read the stuff we wrote anything else too. She would really want to know what I wrote. I write inane things. (like in this blog) Then she was telling this story about being at a car wash and she heard some rap music and she got engrossed in it and locked her keys in the car. Then some guy helped her. Her "angel". She needed help with the computer again and she said she needed an angel. And I started thinking about that song. Then I thought "I'm no angel", which I'm not. Nobody likes to help her cause we don't like her. I was thinking about talking about how much I love the song "Just Another Day" for the lyrics assignment, but I got too embarrassed. I think people in the class might question how "legit" Cena is as a rapper. I worked on math for 2 hours because I had a test coming up. But I'm slow with math so I didn't get much done. I was practically falling asleep. That girl bugged me again, you know that one who asked for the index card. I still don't know her name. All I know is that shes in my class. She asked about the presentations. I told her what I thought I knew. If it didnt help oh well! She's pretty annoying, but I do act respectful to her. Well when I get to my comm class (see Breaking news!) When we are in the room and I'm just taking a look around. I see a guy in a Roddy Piper shirt. Then why do I get heat for wearing a Cena one? I'll tell you why, because its a Cena one and because his picture is on it. The teacher said she liked the reporters' project. I think she liked it because shes in broadcast journalism, and is biased towards them. The next project was a talk show about black racism in the media (now I don't want to make this into a political blog because I don't want mine to be and they never will.) The only real problem I had with it was they were dissing Scrubs, but they didn't even have their facts straight. At least have your facts straight. They were saying the Turk character was a nurse. Turk is not a nurse, his wife Carla is. He's a surgeon. This discussion went on into the class and they were still saying wrong things. They said he was a nurse and then became a surgeon. Which is also wrong. Turk went to medical school with JD and became a surgeon. But they are right the characters on that show are stereotypical. I thought it was funny that when I watched Scrubs they said about Turk being black.
Wednesday: I wrote "Breaking news!" before I went to bed and I was very tired so some of the details might not all be there. The math test was hard, I didn't realize how much I didnt know. Even one of the smart girls in my class said the test was hard.

Saturday Morning '06

I'm going to review some new Saturday morning shows from the 2006/2007 season. Most of the shows I've seen were pretty bad. And I don't care what anybody says or thinks of my opinion.

Viva Piñata

This show is horrible. Who got the idea to have talking piñatas?! Some people this this is a great show. I don't know what they are on. 4kids is trying to cash in on this show based on an X-box 360 game, since they lost the rights to Pokémon, and they need another cash cow.

Horseland

This is a good show. I really like the way it's drawn. But that's not why I like it. The show actually has a plot to it. And I love the theme song. This show is based off a virtual pet site, which I have never played. It has a retro feel to it.

Cake

Dic is really trying to cash in on those tween comedies. This show is about this teen girl named Cake who is supposed to be like a teenage Martha Stewart on speed or something. Plus it has a bad canned laugh track. One of her friends creeps me out because she's like 7 and wears eye shadow. I was offended while watching this show. They made fun of quinseras and the l.a.m.b. line. Plus there is this crafting segment. This would have appealed if I was 5.

Dance Revolution

Whoa! This is like Dance 360 for kids. Well a watered down version mixed with So You Think You Can Dance? The three celebrity judges I had only heard of one of them. The host is annoying a little less than Seacrest which is saying a lot. The Slumber Party Girls sing an opening song. Then they talk over the dance routines with health tips. To help you get active they teach some dance moves which I thought were hard to learn. Plus the Slumber Party girls are annoying by them selves. They have way too much attitude and do those neck movements. I might have been into this show if I was 8.

The Replacements

Who thought of this show? It's horrible. I mean I know people like the idea of escapism by replacing people. But the real problem with this show for me is that it wasn't entertaining. People can rant and rave about a show all they want, but if it's not entertaining to me I won't keep watching. Somebody compared it to Teamo Supremeo which is another Disney cartoon I don't like. Now most Disney animated series I see are crap. The few modern ones I do like are The Buzz on Maggie and Fillmore!

Tom and Jerry Tales

This is pretty good I mean it can be as violent as the original and they have to get rid of all the racial jokes and stereotypes. The one thing this show was lacking was sound effects. It needs good sound effects and music to make it work since Tom and Jerry do not talk. That' what made the old series so great. Even the Flimation and HB (Tom and Jerry show) versions.

Last blog before school

Since this will be my last blog before I start up school again. I want to talk about some different things cause I know my return to school will bring some type of interesting story.

Valentines Day:

You know I'm not really big on starting up the new semester in late February because you get out in June. But I like it for 2 reasons; February sweeps (which didn't really matter this year because of the strike) and I don't have to be in school on Valentines Day.

The Writers' Strike:

I'm so glad it got resolved. To show my support I wasn't really watching any prime time besides WWE wrestling . The writers the WWE use aren't even in the WGA. So I thought it was "ok" to watch. I was getting by in January when the late night shows returned. I even have "strike bangs/fringe" well not really I've been growing out the nice little hack job I gave myself a little before Halloween.

To get by I tried to write fan fiction. I haven't done that on a while. I wrote one for The Office and 30 Rock. I never finished them. Here is a quick summary of the stories I wrote. For The Office one Kevin's band is featured in a local music tv show and Pam wins a trip for 2 (never determined the place in story) and Michael gets jealous because she won a prize. 30 Rock; due to the writers' strike the writers of TGS are on strike and picket outside the building. Tracy thinks they are protesting for some political cause. Jack is desperate for programming so he gets Kenneth to help him again.

What did I do to get by? I watched DVDs and videos of course. I mostly watched cartoons and my John Cena DVD. Plus his DVD gave me something "new" to watch while he was injured. I was either doing that or I was online. I still don't know what'll happen on Scrubs. I hope it all comes on tv, but if it doesn't I'll get the DVDs. I really want to know what happens at the end. I really hope JD and Elliot will get together. I'm a big supporter of that couple. I don't even know why I'm saying that they are fictional characters. I know a lot of people don't like to see all the couples they support. But if you are curious I'll tell you other ones from other shows I watch. Pleas don't ask about a show I don't watch like Lost because I'm not familiar with the couples on that show. I also want to know what that janitor's real name is. For some reason I think it has to do with or have a connection to The Picture of Dorian Gray. I also watched sports, real sports. I mostly watched bowl games and Laker games. I also got back to journaling on paper. Man I really missed that.

Week in review may or may not be back, it just depends on how much homework and "material" I have.

Fathers’ Day Special

Since it's Fathers' Day I would like to say all the different tv fathers that are like my father; Jack Gallow from Just Shoot Me, Homer Simpson from the Simpsons, and Frank Costanza from Seinfeld.
