Conspiracy and theories and my life

Originally posted on February, 21, 2006

I don't care about conspiracies and theories. (yes I'm addressing these as 2 seprate subjects) Why are people always pushing them on you? Why? If I need to hear about a theory I'll ask about one.

Sometimes when people start talking about them for no reason I'm just standing there like this -_- thinking "This sucks! I don't even want to hear this."

I think a lot of people my age are pessimists. We don't like anything or anybody. Well I mean you can't like everything and people who say they do can't.

Ok maybe I sound like an old timer here.

I know some people want to know what some other people have been up to since high school. I'm just going to point at my headline on the top of my profile page. That's what I live by on here. And maybe a little Hustle. Loyalty. and Respect.

The Brown Haired Pessimist

I stole the title from somebody. :P

Terminator is moving to Friday nights in February. That is like a death sentence for that show. But everything gets shifted around when American Idol starts. I'm not trying to be pessimistic about this. I wish Shirley and everybody else who works on the show well. The thing that sucks is that it's on against wrestling again!

You know what would be cool? If Shirley made a guest appearance on American Idol as a guest like her buddy Gwen did. Of course I'm not sure what she would be promoting on the show musically since she doesn't have a label. Maybe she could sing "Samson & Delilah" or something. See? I am smart. I should be her agent. LOL!

Actually I don't even want to think that far ahead to February. I don't even want to think about the end of this month. Seriously I just want this month to be over with the way things have been lately.

Ramen Revolution

Category: Movies, TV, Celebrities Originally posted on May 10, 2008

So on Sunday April the 28th I saw a commercial for this show called Ramen Revolution. At first I thought the commercial was for Anime Expo. So later on in the day I did some research to see what this show was about from what I read it's an otaku culture show.

So I decided to give it a chance and watch it. All I can say is "Huh?" . That show blew me away, but not in a good way. It blew me away with how bad it was. The only part I really liked was the part when the teacher talked about making paper cranes. The skits were boring and uninspired. The guy ranting about the editing of anime on American television was hilarious. I know that was suppose to be like the serious part, but I thought it was really funny. It's nothing I haven't heard before.

This is a revolution I don't want to be a part of.

Cena Fan

I was at the 99 Cents store yesterday and I was wearing my Cena shirt. At the check out line I wanted to know how much some candy was. The guy at the checkout told me they were 4 for 99 cents so I ran back to candy aisle to get another candy. When I get back into the line he asks me if I like John Cena. I thought he was going to say he hates Cena or something like that. But he said he's a Cena fan too. Then he started listing Cena's moves. He said he likes the 5 Knuckle Shuffle which is my favorite Cena move too. He started to brush off his shoulder like Cena does. He asked me if I've seen Cena live, but then my mom (who was with me) said that I waited 8 hours to meet him. He said he waited 10 hours to meet Cena and have him sign a shirt at a house show. He told me he likes Cena because he's respectful to the fans. When we left I was thinking about telling the guy some silly or trite Cena phrase like "Word Life", but I didn't. The funny thing is that he's a male fan who's over the age of 10. So they do exist! I met this fan in person and not over the internet.

This reminded me of when I bought some shoes last year and I was wearing a Cena shirt and the guy who worked at the store asked me if I also liked The Rock. I said no because I didn't really follow wrestling when he was around.

I found this great shirt online. I would totally buy it. Here's a picture of the shirt sorry the link wasn't working.

If you know me by know you know I do maybe too much. And this is not me kissing his ass either. This is true, genuine and coming from the heart. Anyway in my last blog I posted about wearing black well I killed 2 birds with 1 stone and I wore my Cena shirt because I love him. and because it's black. My new signature Valentine's color. Back in junior high I tried doing this same with a No Doubt shirt, but nobody got the joke. How sad.

Un Valentines Day Memories

I know this is a day late, but it took me a while to actually type this out. Valentines day and I have had a bad track record over the years. Some statements are things I have never revealed until now. My Asiaphile blog will be back next week.

4th grade:

My class had a contest for making Valentines mailboxes, I made the sorriest looking box in the class. The kid who made the winning box, didn't even look like a mail box. And it looked like he didn't build it himself.

5th grade:

My teacher was a bitch and got mad about something I forgot what, but she was so mad the class that she cancelled Valentines day on Valentines day morning. We weren't allowed to pass out valentines and she didn't want to see us doing it secretly either. We did pass them out during recess and lunch, but nobody cared about my valentines they just wanted the candy I was handing out.

6th grade:

I had planned to go to a valentines dance with my hot new Clueless-esque outfit. I thought I looked so hot in my polyester XOXO brand black cargo mini with silver snaps and contrasting white stitching. I thought that skirt looked very "Rachel" (from Friends), my polyester flower print shirt with pearly buttons, black knee socks, and patent leather penny loafers. Now if that outfit doesn't scream 1996 I don't know what does. First off I didn't know mini skirt etiquette very well and I ended up having some embarrassing results. I ate some really nasty macaroni for lunch. The dance was bust. The worse thing was that that was my first dance ever. I remember one of the chaperone teachers told me that the boys pay money to sit on a bench and they don't even enter the dance. My feet were killing me in those shoes, so I ended up walking home barefoot and catching the end of Oprah.

7th grade:

If I remember correctly this year was pretty mellow. Well except this girl wanted me to give her all my Winnie the Pooh valentines because she really wanted them and I really wanted the Sailor Moon ones she had. You know if either of us was smart enough we could have proposed a trade.

8th grade:

I celebrated Valentines Day on Friday the 13th because it fell on a Saturday and I wouldn't be at school on a Saturday. People were more concerned about Valentines Day than Friday the 13th and bad luck. I didn't wear red because I was wearing my lucky shirt which was navy blue. I didn't really like red back then, but I kinda wore red because my shirt had red in it.

9th grade:

Valentines Day was celebrated on the 12th because it fell on a Sunday that year. They day before (the 11th) I had watched the video for "Just a Girl" and I felt inspired by it. So I felt like dressing like Gwen, like that is a surprise. So I wore my pants low and my shirt high and a high ponytail. I went to a Valentines day dance at lunch. (my 2nd dance ever and ironically a Valentines one) It was a pretty cheap dance because it was held during lunch. I was cold at the dance because I thought I looked really cool dressed like Gwen, and I didn't cover up my midsection. I ended up getting sick a few days later. I was also crushing on this guy and I was tempted to buy a Sailor Moon Valentines gram and send it anonymously, but I didn't know which class he was in. I spent that Valentines day moping around a feeling sorry for myself.

10th and 11th grade:

These years were pretty mellow nothing really to report here other than me being single and bitter about it.

12th grade:

I was reading the February 2002 issue of Teen and there was an article about girls who celebrated un-valentines day I got the idea to not celebrate it that year. By then I was already sick of it, and being single didn't help either. When you are in junior high and high school it seems like Valentines day is being crammed down your throat. One of the ideas I got from the magazine was to wear all black because it was your way of not showing your "love" for the holiday by wearing colors like pink, red, and purple. So I wore all black except for my red and white striped socks because I thought they were very "Gwen" and very cute. I wanted to wear my pants like she had wore them at the Billboard awards 2 months earlier in December. I still think black knicker pants and red and white striped socks look cool. So that was the only red thing I was wearing. This girl got mad at me because she said I copied her. She was wearing a short sleeved red and white striped shirt. How could I have copied her? I was wearing striped socks and she was wearing a striped shirt. I don't see how those are the same thing. Plus I was trying to copy Gwen anyway.

2003, 1st year of college:

I was going to try and experience my 1st Valentines day in college. Aside from seasonal Conversation Hearts being sold at the student store. I actually forgot the holiday was coming up. That year I didn't feel bad about being single or anything like that . I was going to go to school on Valentines day that year, but I got sick and never made it to school.

2005 3rd year of college:

I actually forgot it was Valentines day that year until I saw people on the street wearing red and pink. By then I was so over that and I hadn't wore red on Valentines day since that incident in 2002.

2006 4th year of college:

I had written about this Valentines day in a blog last year. Ok I only wrote about wearing my black Cena shirt and professing my love for him.

Aside from what I wrote in the blog I saw a lot of people on the bus in festive colors pink, red and purple. My writing teacher was decked out in red and made us write about Valentines day. The day before there were these 2 girls in my math class who were complaining about how their boyfriends were treating them on Valentines day. But those girl seemed to have a "high school" mentality.

As for this year I didn't do anything, and that was the best way to celebrate.

As a special treat here is a list of some of my more remembered Valentines day outfits broken down by year.

6th grade, 1996- Clueless-esque outfit

8th grade 1998- Navy No Doubt ringer shirt

9th grade 1999- A crop top and low cargo pants and a high ponytail

11th grade 2001- Sailor Moon shirt

12th grade 2002- Black outfit with red and white striped socks

4th year of college 2006- Black John Cena shirt
