Are you an Asiaphile too?

First I was going to write a blog making fun of otakus/Japanaphiles/Asiaphiles. But don't flame me and I think I'm not calling the kettle black here. Think of this as more of a "You might be a(n) otaku/Japanaphile/Asiaphile if…"

I am going to share my some of my experiences dealing with otakus/Japanaphiles/Asiaphiles online and some of my silly attempts to "show off" my knowledge of Asia and Asian cultures.

This blog is hard and strange for me to write but I want to get out all my complaints and ideas out.

I think me liking Asian things was inevitable. I grew up in Asian neighborhoods for the first 7 years of my life. You don't know what the smell of cooked garlic has on me. When I was a kid I use to indulge in the Asian snack foods my friends would bring for snack and lunch. I was introduced to shrimp chips, dry seaweed, uncooked ramen and cuttlefish strips at an early age. I also have a love for Asian stationary, but nobody told me to like it I just did as a kid and I still do now. But more on Asian food and stationary in later blogs.
